MEP Construction Manager – Exeter

About the role

Join a fast‑growing main contractor as an MEP Construction Manager, overseeing mechanical, electrical and plumbing packages on complex projects across the UK. This position is ideal for a hands‑on MEP professional ready to step into construction and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Support and oversee on‑site delivery of mechanical and/or electrical packages.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to meet safety, time and specification targets.
• Assist with day‑to‑day site management, progress tracking and programme reporting.
• Work closely with senior construction managers, project managers and commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, quality standards and company procedures.
• Act as the primary interface between trades, management and client representatives on site.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on background in Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing building services.
• Experience in a supervisory, lead engineer or assistant management role on live construction sites.
• Desire to progress into construction and project management.
• Willingness to be site‑based five days a week and travel or stay away as required.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, delivery‑focused attitude.
