Merchandiser – Lead Trading Rhythm & Planning

About the role

We are seeking a Merchandiser to join a fast‑growing retail scale‑up with a £100M+ turnover. Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, you will drive the trading rhythm and build robust planning processes across a dynamic, multi‑channel business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a merchandising team, setting standards for performance.
• Own the trading calendar – weekly trade reviews, re‑forecasting and pace adjustments.
• Manage stock intake and availability while protecting cash flow.
• Build and maintain planning foundations that match business speed.
• Partner with Buying, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure alignment.
• Provide insight to senior leadership and influence strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a merchandiser with solid grounding in core principles.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, growth‑focused environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people, not just numbers.
• Comfortable balancing reactive stock issues with structured process development.
