MET Technician – Bodyshop (Basingstoke)

About the role

Our client, a reputable bodyshop in Basingstoke, is looking for an experienced MET Technician to join their established team. Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and bodywork on allocated vehicles.
• Carry out dismantling, fault‑finding and diagnostic work.
• Reassemble vehicles with new parts as necessary.
• Conduct inspections and testing to ensure quality standards.
• Identify faults or work required for safety and efficiency.
• Road‑test vehicles safely and legally to confirm roadworthiness.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a MET Technician in a busy bodyshop environment.
• Attention to detail and strong quality awareness.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask.
• NVQ or ATA qualifications preferred, but time‑served candidates will also be considered.
• Ability to work efficiently within a team and meet deadlines.
