Metalworking Machine Operator

About the role

Metalcor Building Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled Metalworking Machine Operator to join its production team in London, ON. The role involves operating a range of metalworking equipment to shape, form, and assemble metal components for building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, lay out, and operate light or heavy metalworking machines.
• Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, solder, bolt, screw, or rivet metal stock.
• Operate gas or oil‑fired furnaces and forging presses to heat and shape metal.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform minor repairs on machinery.
• Inspect finished parts for correct shape, dimensions, and specifications.
• Document work completed and investigate any problems.
• Transport material manually or with crane/hoist to the work area.

Required profile

• Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
• 1 to less than 2 years of experience in metalworking or related field.
• Availability for shift or on‑call work and ability to start on the posted date.
• Relevant certifications as required by the position.
• Proficiency in English (or French) as required.
