About the role
Join United Utilities as a Meter Reader, working through Reed Talent Solutions. You will travel to customers' homes and businesses across the Barrow area to accurately record utility meter readings and capture essential data for billing and service support.
Key responsibilities
- Visit assigned properties and collect meter readings on schedule.
- Enter readings and related customer information into the company system.
- Validate data and report any anomalies or issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while on the road.
Required profile
- Full UK driving licence (mandatory).
- Ability to work independently and manage your own daily schedule.
- Good attention to detail and basic numeracy skills.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £13.50.
- 37‑hour work week with flexible, unappointed visits.
- Temporary 6‑month contract with potential for permanent employment.
