MI Analyst / Business Analyst (12‑month maternity cover)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports a leading financial services organisation on the dealing floor while the incumbent’s maternity leave is covered. Reporting directly to the CEO of the securities business, the role blends data‑driven Management Information (MI) work with business analysis, serving stakeholders across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Own the production and distribution of firm‑wide MI reports on a regular schedule.
• Perform ad‑hoc data analysis for senior leaders, sales teams and other business units.
• Identify relevant data points from the data lake, CRM, trading and payments systems, and combine them to answer business questions.
• Prepare clear, actionable visualisations and presentations for non‑technical audiences.
• Maintain data quality and ensure repeatable processes for large‑scale reporting.

Required profile

• Significant experience in MI, data or reporting analysis within financial services.
• Proven ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
• Hands‑on approach to data with confidence presenting findings to senior business partners.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including Power Query and pivot tables.
• Tableau for data visualisation.
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Exposure to Power BI (preferred).
