Microsoft Security Engineer

About the role

WSP is looking for a highly skilled Microsoft Security Engineer to join its Global Security Operations and Engineering team. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Cloud security platforms, including SIEM and SOAR solutions, to protect the organization’s environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical security initiatives across Microsoft Cloud services, from architecture to deployment and ongoing management.
• Develop and maintain automation playbooks, scripts, and SOAR workflows using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Logic Apps.
• Provide Tier‑3 support for security issues and guide Service Desk/OSS teams with knowledge‑base resources.
• Extract data, build management reports, and create PowerBI dashboards where applicable.
• Coach team members, share knowledge, and drive capability growth within the security function.
• Monitor feedback from employees and business stakeholders, ensuring timely response to security incidents.
• Assist with budgeting, license usage analysis, and planning for future security tool expansion.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Microsoft security tools, especially Sentinel, Defender, and Logic Apps.
• Strong background in Entra ID, Active Directory, and complex role‑based access management.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Purview and Microsoft cloud security configurations.
• Demonstrated ability to improve and mature existing security implementations in Microsoft Cloud environments.
• Experience designing and fine‑tuning SIEM/SOAR automations and detection rules.
