Mid-level Analytics Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Analytics Engineer to join our Engineering team in Edinburgh. You will help build and maintain our data platform, ensuring the business has accurate, secure, and readily available data for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own data pipelines, data warehouse, and BI tooling.
• Source, model, and make data available to support company strategy and daily operations.
• Maintain data accuracy and security across all sources.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and prioritize requests.
• Promote pragmatic data use to drive decisions.
• Train and support stakeholders in data handling and analysis.
• Conduct specialist analyses and resolve ambiguities between teams.
• Foster a culture of experimentation and scientific rigor.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• Proficiency with modern data platform stacks and cloud services.
• Experience designing pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Strong SQL skills for data modelling and transformation.
• Ability to create clear reports and visualisations for non‑technical audiences.
• Experience designing, running, and analysing A/B tests.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication.
