About the role
Pion is seeking a Mid-level Android Engineer to join its cross‑functional engineering squad. You will help deliver high‑quality features for the company’s Android app while collaborating closely with product and design partners.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and ship new Android features.
- Maintain and improve the existing codebase for reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinements.
- Align work with quarterly OKRs and adapt priorities as the company strategy evolves.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to create user‑focused solutions.
Required profile
- Positive, collaborative mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Passion for Android development and confidence to voice technical opinions.
Required skills
- Jetpack Compose
- Jetpack Navigation (deep links, multiple graphs)
- Clean Architecture and MVVM
- Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, ViewModel, StateFlow, DataStore
- Hilt for dependency injection
- Unit testing with MockK
- Gradle and version catalogs
