Mid-Level Backend Developer (Go/AWS)

About the role

The client is entering a rapid growth phase, modernising its platforms with scalable, cloud‑native architecture. They need a Backend Developer to own key backend systems, primarily using Go and AWS, and to mentor junior engineers as the team expands.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Go.
• Take ownership of key backend components from design through deployment.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
• Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Contribute to architectural decisions around performance, scalability and security.
• Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and maintain services.
• Mentor junior engineers and help raise engineering standards.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Go.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Solid experience with AWS.
• Strong experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects end‑to‑end.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
