Midweight Designer - Workplace Design

About the role

Our client, a newly launched consultancy in the commercial interiors sector backed by a major UK group, is seeking a Midweight Designer to become a key pillar as the business scales. The role offers ownership of projects from concept through to installation, working directly with clients, architects and internal teams in a fast‑moving, design‑led environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design process from brief through to final installation
• Produce space plans and technical drawing packages
• Create proposal packs, specification documents and presentation material
• Develop visuals and graphics for client presentations
• Coordinate with architects, clients and project teams
• Manage multiple live projects simultaneously
• Support furniture consultancy and product specification
• Take ownership of both creative and technical project delivery

Required profile

• Approximately 4+ years of experience in commercial workplace design or furniture consultancy
• Strong AutoCAD capability across 2D and 3D
• Experience working directly with clients and external design teams
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Proactive, self‑sufficient mindset
• Excellent organisation and time‑management abilities
• Strong understanding of workplace furniture and space planning
• Genuine interest in design, materials and emerging products
