About the role
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a busy engineering team in Stevenage. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work on quality components within a professional workshop environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel and sheet‑metal parts.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings and specifications.
- Prepare materials, set up equipment, and ensure proper fit‑up.
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance with health & safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Required profile
- Proven experience in MIG welding, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to pass a weld test.
- Strong attention to detail and punctuality.
- Good work ethic and the ability to work independently.
