MIG Welder – Full-time Temp-to-Perm Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Nelson. The position is full‑time temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent, offering a stable environment within a growing production team.

Key responsibilities

• Weld mild‑steel components using MIG techniques according to engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate and assemble metal products.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop and adhere to health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the production team to meet targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in MIG welding or similar welding processes.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.
• Fabrication experience is advantageous but not essential.
