Minibus Driver

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Minibus Driver to join a community transport service in Central London and surrounding areas. The role is permanent, full‑time and involves transporting passengers safely while providing courteous assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive minibus vehicles in accordance with health & safety policies and safe‑working practices.
• Assist passengers with care, maintain confidentiality of personal details, and promote a positive image of the service.
• Keep vehicle interiors and exteriors clean, perform basic vehicle checks, and log any defects.
• Record driver hours on weekly log cards or tachograph equipment.
• Provide advice on MiDAS enquiries, maintain records via the MiDAS online portal, and support transport coordinators with basic admin tasks.
• Check licences of new and existing drivers, ensure compliance with insurance criteria, and undertake driver assessments when required.
• Prepare and restock first‑aid boxes, maintain clean car parks, and assist with vehicle shunting.

Required profile

• Age 21 or older.
• Full, clean UK driving licence held for at least two years with D1 or PCV entitlement.
• No more than 9 penalty points and no convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £16.35.
• 37.5‑45 hour work week with a rotating weekend schedule (one weekend off in three).
