Minibus Driver – Part‑time (Term‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Minibus Driver to join the transport team at Royal Wootton Bassett Academy. The role is part‑time and operates only during school terms, providing safe travel for pupils to and from school.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the school minibus safely during morning and afternoon runs (7.15 am‑8.15 am and 3.00 pm‑4.00 pm, Monday‑Friday, term time).
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all passengers, adhering to road‑traffic regulations.
• Perform routine checks of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of journeys and passenger counts.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence appropriate for a minibus (Category D1 or equivalent).
• Experience driving a passenger vehicle, preferably in a school or transport setting.
• Reliability and punctuality for the fixed daily schedule.
• Ability to work independently and communicate courteously with pupils and staff.

Required skills

• Safe driving techniques and knowledge of traffic laws.
• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance awareness.
