Mission Analysis Engineer

About the role

Clearspace is seeking a Mission Analysis Engineer to support both current and future in‑orbit servicing missions. The role sits within the Mission and Systems Engineering team and involves mission design, verification and operational support. You will work closely with internal engineers, customers and partners to ensure mission success.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse technical, programmatic and business requirements, perform trade‑offs on mission profiles and technologies.
• Model and analyse orbits, manoeuvres, delta‑V, launch injection, in‑orbit safety and re‑entry for low‑ and high‑thrust trajectories.
• Define Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) and detailed Operations Plans.
• Conduct environmental analyses (thermal, radiation, illumination) and space‑debris mitigation studies.
• Support verification activities and collaborate with the flight dynamics team.
• Interface with customers, partners and subcontractors, and contribute to proposal writing.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of mission engineering or flight‑dynamics experience in the space sector.
• BSc in Aerospace, Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or a related field.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.

• Flight dynamics and orbital mechanics for both low‑ and high‑thrust trajectories.
• Trajectory modelling and delta‑V analysis.
• Environmental analysis (thermal, radiation, illumination).
• Space‑debris mitigation and in‑orbit safety analysis.
• Verification planning and tool development.
