Mixed Tax Advisor

About the role

Our client, an independent accountancy firm in Farnham, is seeking a Mixed Tax Advisor to manage a diverse portfolio of personal and corporate tax compliance matters. You will work closely with SME clients, delivering accurate tax services and proactive advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, preparing and reviewing self‑assessment returns and related documentation.
• Handle corporate tax compliance cases, ensuring timely filing and accurate calculations.
• Provide expert advice on income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and broader tax planning.
• Respond to client queries with clear, tailored solutions and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in UK tax legislation and communicate implications to clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery across departments.
• Support the development of junior staff through training and mentoring.

Required profile

• Relevant tax or accountancy qualifications (e.g., ATT, CTA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client relationship building.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax software.
• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
