About the role

The firm is a fast‑growing independent accountancy and advisory practice seeking a Mixed Tax Assistant Manager to join its tax team in London. The position blends corporate tax advisory work with mixed‑tax compliance for entrepreneurial businesses, owner‑managed companies and high‑net‑worth individuals. You will work closely with senior partners on complex projects while developing your own client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate and mixed‑tax clients, delivering high‑quality advice.
• Support senior leadership on advisory and transactional projects, including restructures, share‑scheme planning and group de‑mergers.
• Prepare and review corporate tax computations and compliance filings.
• Assist with tax planning assignments, capital‑gains and shareholder tax strategies.
• Handle HMRC correspondence, clearances and complex compliance matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the wider tax function as needed.

Required profile

• Strong background in corporate tax advisory, preferably with experience in mixed‑tax matters.
• Interest in working on complex business‑related projects for owner‑managed enterprises.
• Commercially minded with the ability to build and own client relationships.
• Proactive, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast‑paced advisory environment.
