About the role
The Anthropic Fellows Program offers a four‑month, full‑time research fellowship focused on Machine Learning Systems and Reinforcement Learning. Fellows work on empirical projects aligned with Anthropic’s AI safety priorities and aim to produce a public research output such as a paper.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute research experiments using open‑source models and public APIs.
- Collaborate with Anthropic researchers for mentorship and feedback.
- Produce a research deliverable (e.g., conference paper or technical report).
- Utilise compute resources funded by the program (~$15k/month).
Required profile
- Strong interest in AI safety, ML systems, or reinforcement learning.
- Ability to work independently on a research project for four months.
- Willingness to engage with a diverse research community.
