Mobile AC Engineer – Reading

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mobile AC Engineer to join our established facilities‑management team in Reading. You will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of commercial properties, handling preventative maintenance, breakdowns and service calls on a variety of HVAC systems.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled PPMs and emergency call‑outs on commercial HVAC installations.
• Diagnose, repair and service VRV/VRF, split and multi‑split units, chillers and Air Handling Units.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the FM team to optimise system performance and energy efficiency.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in Air‑conditioning and Refrigeration.
• F‑Gas certification (2079/2089) – mandatory.
• Proven commercial experience in building services or facilities management.
• Knowledge of 17th Edition wiring regulations is highly desirable.

Required skills

• VRV/VRF system installation and maintenance.
• Split and multi‑split air‑conditioning units.
• Chiller plant operation and servicing.
• Air Handling Unit (AHU) maintenance.
