Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer - Cambridge

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider supporting major retail sites across the Cambridge region. The role is field‑based, focusing on service, fault‑finding and repair of commercial HVAC systems, with a company vehicle and on‑call rota.

Key responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair commercial air‑conditioning equipment across multiple retail locations.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive call‑outs.
• Work on split systems, VRF/VRV units and packaged plant, including Airedale and DX Cooling equipment.
• Complete service reports, compliance documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise professionally with clients and internal FM teams.
• Participate in the regional on‑call rota.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial HVAC/air‑conditioning service and maintenance.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently across a wide geographic patch.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air‑Conditioning is desirable.
