Mobile App Developer – iOS & Android

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mobile App Developer to design, build and maintain high‑quality iOS and Android applications that enable accessible communication for the Deaf and hard‑of‑hearing community. You will work within a dynamic technology team, collaborating with product, design and engineering colleagues to deliver secure, scalable, user‑centric solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and testing of video communication apps for iOS and Android.
• Deliver innovative features that improve performance, usability and fit for target users.
• Implement standards‑based protocols (XML, JSON, HTTP, REST) and integrate communication services.
• Apply agile and rapid‑application‑development processes to accelerate delivery.
• Write automated unit, component and feature tests and follow engineering best practices.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture and product feature planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing state‑of‑the‑art mobile applications.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).

Required skills

• iOS development (Swift/Objective‑C) and Android development (Kotlin/Java).
• UX/UI design using native design packages.
• Experience with XML, JSON, HTTP and REST APIs.
• Agile development methodologies.
• Automated testing (unit, component, feature).
• Knowledge of video communication protocols and standards.
