Mobile Care Assistant

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Mobile Care Assistants to join our growing team in Carlisle and surrounding areas. This field‑based position involves delivering personalised personal care, domestic support and social assistance to homeowners across our purpose‑built developments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including hygiene assistance and medication support.
• Perform domestic duties such as cleaning communal areas, shopping and household task management.
• Facilitate social activities, transport arrangements and accompany homeowners to appointments.
• Travel between developments using your own vehicle while adhering to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Empathetic, proactive and reliable with a genuine desire to improve older adults' quality of life.
• Valid full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Flexibility to work a rota that includes mornings, evenings, alternate weekends and occasional bank holidays.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a mobile environment.

Required skills

• Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or willingness to undertake training).

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £14.50 plus additional pay for evenings and weekends.
• £300 bonus after successful probation.
• Travel expenses reimbursed at 43p per mile and mileage covered.
• Full training provided for candidates without prior care experience.
