Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to service, repair and maintain commercial gas systems for a leading facilities management client across Dumfries and surrounding areas. The role involves planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and building strong client relationships while travelling to multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM, servicing and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in gas equipment and associated plant.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation for each job.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.
• Travel to various sites using a company‑provided van.

Required profile

• Core Safety certification: COCN1.
• Commercial gas qualifications: TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1.
• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• Gas Safe registration.
• IPAF and PASMA certifications.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Commercial gas system maintenance and repair.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) procedures.
• Fault diagnosis on gas plant.
• Use of company van and fuel card for site travel.
