Mobile Device Management Engineer – Apple iOS/iPadOS

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Device Management Engineer to take full ownership of our enterprise Apple mobile estate. You will design, implement and maintain Jamf Pro configurations for iOS and iPadOS devices, ensuring a secure, modern and seamless user experience across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Jamf Pro configurations (ABM/DEP enrolment, supervision, configuration profiles, SSO, compliance baselines).
• Own the complete iPhone/iPad lifecycle – procurement, zero‑touch enrolment, kitting, deployment, break/fix, RMA, refresh and secure de‑commissioning.
• Manage mobile apps via Jamf – packaging, VPP licensing, scoped deployments, version governance, staged roll‑outs and roll‑backs.
• Oversee SIM and carrier operations – activations, porting, tariff optimisation, usage monitoring, cost management and renewals.
• Monitor and improve device security and compliance (encryption, passcode policies, DLP, OS governance).
• Maintain accurate asset and SIM inventories and produce audit‑ready documentation.
• Provide L2/L3 mobile support and collaborate with the service desk for L1 triage.
• Lead pilots for new OS releases, device models and Jamf features, including testing, communication and phased rollout.
• Integrate mobile controls with identity and access tools (Okta, Azure AD, Conditional Access) and network authentication (Wi‑Fi/EAP certificates).
• Report on compliance, OS adoption, app health, asset accuracy and spend, recommending continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3+ years managing enterprise Apple mobile estates using Jamf Pro.
• Hands‑on experience with supervised deployments, configuration profiles, VPP and managed app configurations.
• Familiarity with identity and access management solutions such as Okta or Azure AD and Conditional Access policies.
• Strong understanding of SIM and carrier management, device security and compliance frameworks.
