Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

NG Bailey is seeking a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its Facilities Services team in the South West. The role is based in Bristol and involves travelling to client sites across the Bristol and Cardiff areas to deliver planned and reactive building services maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for building services electrical systems.
• Perform remedial and reactive repairs, including emergency light testing, lighting upgrades and fault diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate site documentation and compliance records for audit purposes.
• Assist in supervising subcontractor work to ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and occasional overtime as required.

Required profile

• Qualified electrical technician with experience in commercial building services.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to work independently.
• Valid UK driving licence (company van provided).

Required skills

• NVQ Level 2‑3 Electrical (or City & Guilds equivalent).
• 18th Edition City & Guilds qualification.
• C&G 2391 and AM2 (advantageous).
• IOSH Working Safely (desirable).
• Knowledge of PTW, RAMS and L8 training procedures (desirable).
