Mobile Engineer (Xamarin/.NET MAUI)

About the role

TCS is seeking a Mobile Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑quality cross‑platform mobile applications using Xamarin and .NET MAUI. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable solutions while contributing to Agile delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional and technical requirements and implement mobile features.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Xamarin/.NET MAUI applications using C#.
• Produce and keep technical documentation aligned with design standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, security, and best‑practice adherence.
• Design and execute unit tests for functional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot performance, memory usage, and device‑specific issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams for build, release, and deployment activities.
• Follow clean‑coding standards, SOLID principles, and architectural guidelines.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Xamarin.NET MAUI, C# and Android development.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, design principles and Android OS architecture.
• Proven ability to analyse and optimise battery, memory, storage and network usage.
• Experience with REST APIs, data persistence and background services.
• Good knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for mobile.
• Excellent communication skills for customer‑facing environments.
