Mobile Maintenance Technician – Exeter

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile Maintenance Technician to join a professional property company in Exeter. The role involves delivering high‑quality repairs and preventative maintenance across a portfolio of residential properties while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on residential properties.
• Perform general repairs including plumbing, carpentry, joinery, painting, decorating and building fabric maintenance.
• Diagnose faults, complete repairs promptly and safely.
• Conduct weekly, monthly and annual Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks.
• Repair and maintain fixtures such as toilets, sinks, locks, lighting and shower facilities.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and help‑desk call‑outs.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Caretaker, Handyman or in Facilities Maintenance.
• Multi‑skilled background in one or more trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, building maintenance).
• Experience with both reactive and planned maintenance in residential settings.
• Good understanding of PPM schedules, risk assessments and Health & Safety requirements.
• Full clean UK driving licence and ability to handle manual tasks.

What we offer

• £15 per hour (£28K equivalent) with vehicle provided.
• Temporary 3‑month contract, potential for permanent placement.
• 37.5‑hour work week.
