Mobile Mechanical Pump Engineer

About the role

Selwood Limited, the UK’s leading pump‑rental specialist, is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Pump Engineer to join its Weymouth branch. You will provide on‑site pump maintenance for customers across the surrounding region, working on a call‑out rota with standby and overtime allowances.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and emergency pump maintenance at the branch and customer sites.
• Participate in a call‑out rota, receiving standby pay and overtime for emergency work.
• Complete daily vehicle defect reports and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Obtain signatures and documentation from sites to ensure accurate task processing.
• Follow company policies, health‑and‑safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.

Required profile

• Passion for the pump industry and a willingness to develop long‑term technical expertise.
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience in mechanical or pump maintenance.
