Mobile Plant Fitter – Field Based

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well‑established engineering business operating across Central and North Scotland. This field‑based, days‑only position offers a balanced work‑life schedule and the chance to work independently on a varied range of plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair a wide variety of mobile and heavy plant equipment on customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Ensure all machinery meets safety and efficiency standards.
• Travel between multiple sites and work autonomously.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or Plant Engineer.
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding and repair abilities.
• Experience with heavy plant, construction or industrial machinery.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Mechanical engineering background with experience in servicing, maintenance and breakdown repair.
