Mobile Production Engineer

About the role

This home‑based, customer‑facing position supports a market‑leading manufacturer across Scotland. You will travel to client sites, providing technical expertise to improve production processes, product quality and overall efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Visit manufacturing sites throughout Scotland to assess methods, machinery and tooling.
• Investigate and resolve production and quality issues.
• Support new customer set‑ups and deliver on‑site training to operators and production teams.
• Conduct factory audits and develop practical improvement plans.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Technical teams to maintain strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery and production settings.
• Ability to work independently, manage your own diary and prioritise customer visits.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Scotland.
