Mobile Software Engineer Intern

About the role

Join Roku’s Mobile team for a paid 12‑week internship based in the UK. You will work on the company’s flagship streaming apps, contributing to new features and improving existing iOS and Android experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and tooling for Roku’s mobile applications.
• Maintain and enhance performance of existing iOS and Android apps.
• Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Assist in creating project plans, estimates, and documentation.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a full‑time Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science or a related field, graduating December 2026 or later.
• Demonstrated coding experience outside of coursework (e.g., hackathons, personal projects, open‑source contributions, previous internships).
• Experience with native mobile development using Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
• Familiarity with software development principles and languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
• Strong passion for software development and a curiosity for emerging tech trends.
