Mobile Vehicle Engineer – South East England

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile Vehicle Engineer to join our specialist engineering team serving customers across the South East. Based near Haywards Heath and equipped with a company vehicle, the role combines workshop work and on‑site installations to adapt vehicles for disabled drivers and passengers.

Key responsibilities

• Install mechanical and electrical adaptations in customers’ vehicles.
• Travel to customer homes and dealerships across the South East for mobile installations.
• Carry out workshop‑based installations at the company facility.
• Perform fabrication and MIG welding tasks as required.
• Interpret wiring diagrams to ensure correct electrical installations.
• Deliver handovers and demonstrations to customers after each installation.
• Maintain accurate records and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Represent the company positively while working independently off‑site.
• Attend training courses to support continuous learning.

Required profile

• Multi‑skilled engineer confident in both mechanical and electrical vehicle work.
• Background in vehicle adaptations or auto electrics is highly desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and personal hand tools.
• Comfortable working unsupervised in customer‑facing environments.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a Mobile Technician, Auto Electrician or Adaptation Engineer is a plus.

What we offer

• Salary £30,000‑£38,000 per annum plus OTE up to £4,000 after probation.
• Permanent contract, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5:00 pm.
