Mobile Vehicle Technician – Central Birmingham

About the role

Join the RAC SMR division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, delivering planned servicing and repairs directly to members' homes or workplaces across Central Birmingham. Work from a clear digital schedule with no emergency call‑outs, allowing you to focus on quality work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing on‑site.
• Run diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 + years as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

• Light vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Vehicle diagnostics using advanced mobile tools.
