Mobile Vehicle Technician – Guildford

About the role

Join the RAC's Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician based in Guildford. You will work on a planned schedule, visiting members' homes or workplaces to perform full‑service repairs and maintenance without emergency call‑outs.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and in‑depth repairs on a variety of light vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment and provide accurate fault identification.
• Deliver vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards and advise members on recommended actions.
• Manage parts ordering and use a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform and tool set.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently following a digital schedule of pre‑booked appointments.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary of £45,378 (including London weighting) with on‑target earnings up to £57,000.
