Mobile Vehicle Technician – Hemel Hempstead

About the role

The RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division with a Mobile Vehicle Technician based in the Hemel Hempstead cluster. You will work a planned schedule of appointments, delivering full‑service repairs and maintenance directly at customers' homes or workplaces.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and comprehensive diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.
• Manage parts ordering and documentation through the RAC mobile service platform.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Ability to work independently following a digital schedule.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to safety.

• Competitive base salary of £45,378 (incl. London weighting) with on‑target earnings up to £57,000.
