Mobile Vehicle Technician – Holloway

About the role

Join the RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician covering the Holloway cluster. You will work from a fully equipped van, following a pre‑planned schedule of appointments, delivering high‑quality servicing and repairs directly at members’ homes or workplaces.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and comprehensive vehicle safety checks.
• Run diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment and interpret results.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally performed in a workshop.
• Provide members with clear advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Manage parts ordering and documentation through RAC’s mobile service platform.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work independently, follow a digital schedule and maintain high standards of safety.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary of £45,378 (including London weighting) with on‑target earnings up to £57,000.
