Mobile Vehicle Technician

About the role

Join a fast‑growing automotive recruitment business as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, travelling across North London and Essex to service a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles. You will work day shifts, Monday to Friday, delivering preventative maintenance, emergency breakdown support and scheduled servicing at client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform call‑outs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs on HGVs, ground support equipment, RORO units, fire‑rescue vehicles, tractors, tugs and bespoke platforms.
• Carry out MOT preparation, engine diagnostics, chassis and fabrication work, and hydraulic/pneumatic system repairs.
• Inspect and correct electrical wiring, conduct hydraulic and pneumatic testing, and improve overall vehicle standards.
• Provide pre‑arranged servicing at rural locations and respond to urgent breakdowns.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or equivalent apprenticeship accreditation.
• Self‑motivated, independent and able to manage a varied daily schedule.
• Valid Class 2 licence (beneficial) and willingness to travel within the designated area.
• Commitment to health and safety and a problem‑solving mindset.
