Mobile Vehicle Technician – Shepherd's Bush

About the role

The RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division with a dedicated Mobile Vehicle Technician based in Shepherd's Bush. You will deliver scheduled servicing, diagnostics and in‑depth repairs directly at members' homes or workplaces, following a clear digital appointment plan.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing and safety checks in line with RAC standards.
• Use advanced mobile diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally performed in a workshop.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Manage parts ordering and documentation through the RAC mobile service platform.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently following a pre‑planned schedule.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary of £45,378 (including London weighting) with on‑target earnings up to £57,000.
