Mobile Vehicle Technician – Slough

About the role
Join the RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician based in Slough. You will travel to members’ homes or workplaces to carry out scheduled servicing and repairs, working within a clear digital agenda and without emergency call‑outs.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing and comprehensive vehicle safety checks.
- Diagnose faults using advanced mobile diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out in‑depth repairs normally performed in a workshop.
- Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
- Manage parts ordering and documentation through the RAC mobile service platform.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently following a planned schedule.

- Competitive base salary of £45,378 plus on‑target earnings up to £57,000.

- 40‑hour week with core hours 8:30 am‑5:00 pm and one Saturday in four.
