Mobile Vehicle Technician – South East England

About the role

Join the RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, delivering planned servicing and repairs directly to members across the South East. You will work from a fully equipped van, following a digital schedule of pre‑booked appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing and safety checks in line with RAC standards.
• Diagnose faults using advanced mobile diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally performed in a workshop.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Manage parts ordering and ensure jobs are completed within scheduled time slots.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5+ years as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
