Mobile Vehicle Technician – Streatham

About the role

Join the RAC SMR Division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, delivering planned maintenance and repairs directly to members at their homes or workplaces across Streatham and surrounding areas. You will work from a fully equipped van, following a digital schedule of pre‑booked appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.
• Run diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth mechanical repairs normally performed in a workshop.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Manage parts ordering and adhere to a clear, pre‑planned appointment schedule.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience, or 5 + years as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work independently and follow a structured schedule.
