Mobile Vehicle Technician – Wembley

About the role

Join the RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician based in Wembley. You will work on a scheduled list of appointments, delivering planned servicing and repairs directly to members at their homes or workplaces.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing and in‑depth mechanical repairs.
• Run diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.
• Manage parts ordering and use a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card and tool set.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary of £45,378 (including London weighting) with on‑target earnings up to £57,000.
