Mobile Water Treatment Technician – Central Belt (Glasgow to Edinburgh)

About the role

Gold Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Mobile Water Treatment Technician to deliver water‑hygiene and treatment services across the Central Belt between Glasgow and Edinburgh. You will act as the primary technical representative for water compliance, working closely with clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Tier 3 water‑treatment tasks, including temperature monitoring, showerhead descales, and cold‑water storage tank inspections.
• Perform cooling‑tower cleaning and disinfection, TMV servicing, water sampling, and dosing of inhibitors and biocides.
• Test and analyse LTHW systems, cooling systems, steam boilers, and water softeners.
• Carry out plumbing remedial works and ensure accurate L8 logbooks.
• Complete work reports via day‑works sheets or Planon and liaise with schedulers for material procurement.

Required profile

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Heating (Closed Loops) or Chemistry.
• Minimum three years’ experience in water hygiene/treatment.
• Legionella Awareness training and thorough knowledge of relevant regulations (L8 ACOP, HSG274, etc.).
