About the role
Akkodis is seeking a Modelling & Simulation Engineer to join a multidisciplinary defence engineering team in Hertfordshire. You will use mathematical modelling and simulation to assess and predict system performance across air, land and maritime platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct technical studies to evaluate overall system performance.
- Develop and analyse mathematical models of complex engineering systems.
- Assess the impact of design changes on system behaviour and performance.
- Support requirements development, verification and certification activities.
- Perform simulation and modelling studies against key performance indicators.
- Analyse large datasets generated from modelling activities.
- Collaborate with specialists in aerodynamics, propulsion, GNC, sensors and systems engineering.
- Produce technical reports and present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Required profile
- Experience in mathematical modelling of dynamic systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
- Excellent written communication for clear technical documentation.
