Modern Foreign Languages Teacher (French/Spanish)

About the role
Reed Education is partnering with a welcoming secondary school in West Yorkshire to recruit a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher for a full‑time position starting in September 2026. The role offers a long‑term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent, providing an excellent platform to inspire the next generation of language learners.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging French and/or Spanish lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
- Prepare learners for GCSE French and/or Spanish examinations.
- Monitor progress, give constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to enrichment activities, language clubs and school events.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in French, Spanish, MFL or a related subject.
- Experience teaching MFL in a UK secondary school (ECTs are welcome).
- Strong classroom management and safeguarding awareness.
- Passion for languages, culture and student achievement.
Required skills
- Ability to teach French.
- Ability to teach Spanish.
- Capability to teach both languages is a significant advantage.
