About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join its Bournemouth school. You will deliver engaging lessons that build pupils' confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in a foreign language while fostering cultural awareness.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality language lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach one or more languages such as French, Spanish or German, according to your specialism.
- Develop students' fluency, grammar, and cultural understanding.
- Assess, track and report on student progress, preparing them for GCSE language qualifications.
- Encourage active communication in the target language during lessons and extracurricular activities.
- Contribute to enrichment programmes, including language clubs and overseas trips.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject (desirable but not mandatory).
- Strong fluency in at least one taught language.
- Passion for language learning and cultural education.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
Required skills
- Fluency in a foreign language relevant to the teaching portfolio.
