Mortgage Broker – Full‑time (Basildon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Broker to join a busy, high‑performing estate agency branch in Basildon. You will work with a steady flow of qualified appointments and an existing remortgage client database, delivering whole‑of‑market mortgage solutions to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on residential, remortgage, buy‑to‑let and first‑time buyer mortgages.
• Recommend appropriate protection products such as life insurance and critical illness cover.
• Manage mortgage applications from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring FCA compliance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with estate agency colleagues and clients.
• Maximise opportunities for new business, remortgages, product transfers and protection sales.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or Broker, preferably within an estate agency environment.
• Strong understanding of whole‑of‑market mortgage products and protection offerings.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high compliance standards.
• Self‑motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
