MOT Tester / Mechanic – Exeter

About the role

Firstcall MOT & Service Centre is a long‑established family‑run garage in Exeter looking for a qualified MOT Tester/Mechanic. You will carry out MOT examinations, diagnose faults and carry out repairs to keep vehicles road‑legal and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MOT tests in line with legal and safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical faults using specialised tools and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicle systems.
• Maintain a clean, organised workshop and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Work both independently and as part of a team, providing good customer service when required.

Required profile

• Valid MOT tester certificate.
• Relevant vehicle mechanic qualifications.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems.
• Proven experience as a diagnostic mechanic with solid troubleshooting abilities.
