MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician

About the role
We are seeking a motivated MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician to join a thriving independent garage in Cheltenham. The role is workshop‑based, Monday‑Friday, and offers extensive training and clear progression pathways within a modern, newly renovated facility.
Key responsibilities
- Repair and service a wide range of light commercial vehicles and retail cars.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT, carry out MOT testing and perform any necessary rectification work.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide timely diagnostics.
Required profile
- Level 2, 3 or 4 qualified mechanic.
- MOT tester holding class 4, 5 and 7 qualifications.
- Valid UK driver’s licence.
- Desire for ongoing training and development in a days‑based role.
Required skills
- MOT testing (class 4, 5, 7).
- Vehicle repair and servicing.
- Diagnostic troubleshooting of light commercial and passenger vehicles.
- Valid driver’s licence.
